Moose Lake is located in the Pennington Triangle
north of Cass Lake. Its clear, spring-fed waters cover 632
acres that extend 2.2 miles in length and reach a maximum
depth of 72 feet. Its seven miles of shoreline are surrounded
by the Chippewa National Forest, and it is known for a variety
of fish including walleye, northern pike, black crappie,
bluegill, largemouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and bullheads.
The lake has good shoreline vegetation, some deeper holes
and several good points with sandbars.
